In commemoration of the birth centenary Singapore’s founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Jalan Besar Town Council together with PAP organised the LKY100 Tree Planting Day in St George’s Lane as part of the Action for Green Towns (AGT) movement. 100 families were invited to plant 100 trees together with Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Lawrence Wong, SMS Tan Kiat How, Ms Hany Soh and JBTC’s advisors.
